Headed to the fair ... wearing my best hat

I have posted several entries about locating our cousin Steve, who in turn gifted the family with photographs, postcards, and letters. Among the bonanza was this picture from July, 1916 at Exposition Park, San Diego, California.

Second from left is Daisy Smith Judd, wife of my 1st cousin 3x removed, Orion Mathias Judd. The exhibition celebrated the opening of the Panama Canal.

These ladies sure are dressed to the nines for this outing. Love the hats!
