Tombstone Tuesday - Johns Hopkins

Johns Hopkins, founder of Johns Hopkins University and the Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Born May 19, 1795 and died December 24, 1873. Buried in Green Mount Cemetery.

My husband's late father was a professor at Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. Growing up Doug visited the campus with his father resulting in many happy memories and fascinating stories that have been passed to our children.

Mr. Hopkins was a very influential figure in early Baltimore history. His philanthropy not only created a world class teaching institution but also one of the most highly regarded hospitals in the world.

  2. Missy,

You are most welcome. Actually a co-worker and I went on the Green Mount Cemetery tour a few years ago. If you ever get to Baltimore highly suggest you put on your list!
