Several weeks ago the show "Who Do You Think You Are?" featured Tim McGraw. During the episode it was revealed Tim had German Palatine heritage.

My husband's Ruth line immigrated to the United States from the Palatinate region in the early 1700's. Most eventually settled in and around Bucks County, Pennsylvania.

While investigating these ancestors I have discovered several excellent resources in understanding the homeland and eventual settlement of the Palatine in this county.

The Story of the Palatines : an episode in colonial history by Sanford H. Cobb, published 1897

The Palatines, by George Anderson, UE

Lastly, The Olive Tree Genealogy where you will find many resources including links to mailing lists, ship lists, and family names.

Wonder if my husband is related to Tim McGraw or Elvis?
