Over the last several weeks I have made it a habit to read fellow genealogy bloggers "Tuesday Tip" posts. What I have gleaned from these sites has been extremely helpful in my education as a novice genealogist.
The tips that have been discussed range from best website to locate ancestors, to the habits of the organized researcher. Every week I sit with my paper and pen taking notes as if I am attending a genealogy conference. In many ways these wonderful people are teachers sharing their information so newbies will feel more confident as we tackle our hurdles and brickwalls.
The Geneabloggers site is where I found these helpful tips included as one of their Daily Blogging Prompts. Must reads for everyone! Here are just a few of the Tuesday Tips from last several weeks:
Consider Adding Links to Your Blog - by Heritage Zen
Organizing Your Internet Research - by The Armchair Genealogist
Read the USGenWeb.org and WorldGenWeb.org sites -by Genea-Musings
Sadly, Sometimes Ya Just Gotta Roll With It OR Review, Review, Review - by Reflections From the Fence
Tag Photos For Easier Comparisons - by Penny's Genes
Lastly the blog Genealogy Tip of The day, by Michael John Neil, here daily you will find a "short idea to get your genealogy research started".
My tip of the day is to follow the experts!
