This Saturday I will be attending my first LDS Family History & Genealogy Workshop. This will be an all day event chocked full of interesting topics. There will six 50 minute classes with break for lunch. A sample of what they are offering:
Creating An Effective Research Plan
Creating Your Own Genealogy Website
Migration Patterns of Germans in America
Polish and Eastern European Genealogy
Reading Old Handwriting
Photographs and Preservation for Genealogists
Your Civil War Ancestors
Optimize Your Internet Searches
Research at the DAR Library
Blogging For Family Relationships
Saving Private Memories : Photo Document Storage & the Memory Book
You Better Watch Out : Omissions, Errors, and Frauds
What makes this even more special is that I will be attending with a very good friend who loves genealogy just as much. We also work together so the next several days we have plans galore.
Just like when we were starting out in first grade we have been discussing what type of supplies we will need, make sure we sharpen our pencils, pack a nice lunch, and wear comfy clothes.
So really am so very excited and don't want to hide it!
